The BMW CE 04 opens up a whole new chapter in two-wheel urban mobility. With an electric drivetrain, forward-looking design and innovative connectivity solutions, the new scooter merges transport and communication functions into a funky modern mobility solution.

The futuristic styling of the BMW CE 04 is true to the drive concept and classic scooters while also clearly being part of the BMW Motorrad family. The modern surface finish is in a striking light white, complimented by matt black front and side areas while a floating seat is central to the design. Lighting units all round are based on state-of-the-art LED technology.

The backbone of the CE 04 is a tubular steel frame. Ensuring a comfortable ride is a telescopic fork upfront and a spring strut at the rear. The scooter rides on 15-inch wheels both front and rear while trend setting solid wheels add to the avantgarde look.

At the front, a twin disc brake ensures optimal deceleration, and it is supported by a single disc system at the rear. BMW Motorrad ABS ensures a high level of active safety while ABS Pro, available as an optional extra, is able to control braking in corners, ensuring the best possible safety.

Plenty of power and range

The BMW CE 04 utilises a permanent electric motor mounted in the frame between the battery and the rear wheel and BMW conducted extensive riding tests to develop a specific type of recuperation for each riding model, giving the rider a high-level of convenience by offering optimum performance and riding characteristics for every situation.

With a maximum output of 31kW the CE 04 can sprint from 0-50km/h in just 2.6 seconds on its way to a top speed of 120km/h allowing riders to venture out of the confines of the city when needed. A 60.6Ah (8.9kWh) battery offers a range of 130km/h, enabling day to day emission free riding in the city.  

Quick charging

The lithium-ion battery can be recharged using the integrated charging device either via a regular household socket, a wall box or a public charging station with a complete charge time taking approximately 100 minutes with the quick charger.

The dynamics of a motorcycle

A traction control system comparable to Automatic Stability Control on BMW Motorcycles with a combustion engine is available on the new BMW CE 04. ASC limits engine torque in relation to rear wheel slip. Dynamic Traction Control, available as an optional extra contributes to even greater riding safety.

BMW’s engineers made sure that riders are able to make the choice between maximum efficiency and maximum riding fun and therefore the new BMW CE 04 features three riding modes including Eco, Rain and Road as standard while a Dynamic riding mode is available as an ex works option, enabling even swifter acceleration.

Integrated navigation and connectivity

The CE 04 comes fitted as standard with a 10.25-inch TFT colour screen with integrated map navigation and connectivity allowing for easy navigation while on the move.
