Mini launches all-new Countryman C

Discover the new Mini Countryman C

The superior off-road character of the Mini Countryman has been enhanced on the third-generation model along with a completely new exterior design. Inside, innovative materials contribute to a comfortable atmosphere in the larger interior while four new trim variants offer a wide range of customisation options.

Even though it is the entry level model to the range, the Countryman C combines typical Mini features such as agility and driving pleasure with a generous level of standard equipment.

Under the bonnet

With the new Mini Countryman C, Mini are combining a high level of driving comfort and a spacious interior with a three-cylinder petrol engine.

The three-cylinder engine offers an output of 125kW and 280Nm thanks to TwinPower Turbo technology which allows the model to accelerate to 100km/h in 8,3 seconds on its way to a top speed of 212 km/h. Integrated mild hybrid technology is used to recover braking energy and supports the internal combustion engine during acceleration with 14kW of electric drive power. Apart from the performance benefits this system helps to reduce the consumption and emissions to as low as 6,1 litres per 100km and 138g/km.

Modern, refreshed exterior

The new Mini Countryman has grown 13 centimetres in length and eight centimetres in height. An upright silhouette with clearly designed surfaces and a redesigned octagonal front grille contributes to the model’s superior appearance. A reduced body design with delicate contours gives the model a sleek appearance. As is typical of the brand, short overhangs underline the agile vehicle character. Distinctive LED headlights and rear lights accentuate the body design along with new optional light signatures.

The stylish, concisely designed C-pillar joins the stretched vehicle roof flush and in the same colour. Piano black roof rails are standard equipment and assist in maximising luggage transporting options such as with a roof rack or a Mini roof box.

The Mini Countryman is available with wheel designs and sizes ranging from 17 to 21 inches. 202mm of ground clearance and the dynamic chassis ensure safety and comfort across a wide variety of driving surfaces.

Spacious, high-tech interior

The spacious interior of the new Mini Countryman can accommodate up to five adults. A panoramic glass roof ensures an interior with additional brightness and all-round visibility.

The standard sport seats with patterned multi-ton textile in the cockpit offer passengers additional space thanks to additional width in the shoulder and elbow area. The backrest of the rear three seats can be individually adjusted in six positions by up to 12 degrees. The back seat itself can be moved by 13cm, creating additional legroom in the rear or additional cargo space as required. In addition folding down the rear seat backrest expands cargo capacity from 450 litres to 1460 litres.

Central to the minimalistic interior design is a round 240mm OLED display. This new central instrument with high-quality glass surface allows all infotainment and assistance systems to be operated conveniently and intuitively via touch or voice command. The Mini Experience Modes change the appearance of the cockpit with a combination of visual design, ambient lighting and sound design. All driving functions can be controlled via the toggle bar.

For the first time, Driving Assistant Plus allows the Mini Countryman to offer the option of partially automated Level 2 driving on motorway-like routes. This allows the driver to remove their hands from the steering wheel at speeds of up to 60km/h as long as they continue to monitor traffic and remain ready to intervene at any time.

Customisation options

The product structure of the Mini family includes a wide range of customisation options now grouped under the Essential, Classic, Favoured and JCW trim variants. Depending on the specific trim, different paint and roof colours as well as various interior finishes are available. The finish of the new C-pillar design element also changes along with the selected vehicle trim.

For example, Favoured trim features a contrasting roof and vibrant silver front grille frame, stylish accents to the smokey green body colour. 20-inch rims in the aerodynamically optimised Windmill Spoke 2-design accentuate the self-confident appearance. Inside a two-tone colour gradient adorns the textile surface from the dashboard to the door panels. The innovative design is made from recycled polyester that uses a specially developed knitting process and contributes to the comfortable atmosphere of the interior.
