Action packed BMW M Fest returns to Kyalami

BMW fans should make sure to get down to Kyalami on 15 and 16 October as the M fest returns to this iconic venue.

M Fest presented by BMW South Africa will include on and off-track action, including a world-class entertainment line up, M talks lounge and a global premiere of an all-new M car.

This years M Fest also coincides with the 50th year of BMW M, with special activations planned to celebrate this milestone.

After a three-year hiatus, the world’s biggest M fest is back at Kyalami, a venue that was part of the origination of the M brand, when the South African 530 MLE line up against its competitors and kick started a performance sub brand that is now stronger than ever.

Showgoers will be able to get up close and personal with the sensational Red Bull Drift Brothers, who are travelling to South Africa with their custom BMW M4 Coupe Competitions to wow the crowds. Newly crowned DTM champion, Sheldon van der Linde, will be also be in attendance. Alongside BMW Driving Experience’s professional drivers he will be treating showgoers to hot laps in a range of BMW M models. Visitors who prefer to get behind the wheel themselves will be able to do so on a custom-built test drive course.

Additional on track action includes Round 8 of the BMW Car Club M Performance Parts Race Series and demonstrations by SA’s top spinning athletes.

The main stage at BMW M Fest will be graced by headline acts Zakes Bantwini and Mafikizolo as well as DBN Gogo, Black Motion, DJ Zinhle, Desmond and the Tutus, Mango Groove, Lady Zamar and many more.

Vehicles demonstrating BMW’s proud heritage will be on display as part of the Concours de Élegance, while an array of classic BMW M vehicles will be add to the mouth watering displays.

BMW will also be lifting the covers who the all-new BMW M2, alongside the first local showing of the BMW XM as well as the South African premiere of the BMW M4 CSL. Both the BMW M2 and the BMW XM are planned to go on sale in South Africa in the first half of 2023.
